Christ Church Paarl have recently rebranded and require a new website. The objective is to create a simple site with capabilities to handle posting of weekly mp3 sermon audio files.

A key requirement is that the design should express their new brand and incorporate a basic and intuative CMS for content upload.

An established Software company, GoDoChurch, have decided to pivot and return to their passion for strategic church administration. Their goal is to serve the Church not just with tools, but with resources and content that will greatly simplify church operations. In order to realise this vision, they have decided to implement an all-new name and brand identity.

The new identity needs to position the company as the go-to resource hub and software system for churches in South Africa. It needs to be simple, approachable and convey a strong sense of innovation and ambition. The brand should also communicate the company's drive in providing African solutions for Africa by simplifying the red tape and bureaucratic feel of church operations.

A key requirement is that the brand is future-proof and remains relevant as the company grows and expands.

Timeframe

In order to develop a basic standalone website we recommend using the Squarespace platform:

• It comes with enterprise level optimization and advanced website analytics right out the box. This means that the site will be super quick and responsive from the word go (on both desktop and mobile).

• It is much simpler to maintain from a content management perspective than Wordpress. I would be more than happy to train Velma on how to use the backend so that she can maintain the site and upload content going forward.

• There is a R5280 annual fee (which is slightly more than WP) but it includes the ssl certificates and automatic security updates (which you have to do manually every 2-3 months in WP)

Phase 1: Discovery and Planning
To prevent scope creep and to set expectations, we will do research and
planning before any design or development commences. This will include:
• Defining user flow logic
• Define additional elements (eg: illustrations, diagrams, infographics etc)

Name generation
Generation of 3 name options including domain verification and registration (includes high-level concept presentation)

Phase 2: Website Design
• Design and set up of style sheets
• Creation of graphic elements (font and colour allocation)
• Responsive layouts

Phase 3: Website Development
A lean, yet robust solution will be developed using Squarespace CMS that includes HTML5, CSS and Javascript to power the public-facing front-end.

Payment:
This quotation is valid for 30 days. Upon acceptance of the quotation, a 50% payment is required, remainder invoiced upon delivery of final artwork. All artwork, design and development work remains the property of Walters & Co until paid in full.

Errors and omissions:
It is the Client’s responsibility to check proofs carefully for accuracy in all respects, ranging from spelling to technical illustrations. Walters & Co is not liable for errors or omissions.
